It was his use of proper grammar that got me, I think. It’s such a rare luxury on the internet these days, and it was refreshing to find someone with equal passion for the written word. His sentences danced, meandered like a melody, and I would spend hours at a time lost in them.
We finally decided to meet—and it was only when I was halfway to the street-corner café in Croydon that I realised I’d never seen his face.
I needn’t have worried. I spotted him right away – he was every bit as beautiful as his words were.
